Your Own Website Network

Most people who run smaller sites have only one main site, but there are ways of establishing your own unique Web site network and creating a larger presence on the 'Net. There is no reason to reinvent the wheel, just work with what's available to grow and make your Internet footprint appear larger than it really is. The bigger you look the easier it is for people to find you. How to do that? By making mirror sites, doorway pages and gateways.

Mirror Sites

Mirror sites should be included in any good marketing plan.

Let's say you run an amateur site with the domain www.all-naked-amateur-men.com. By registering several more domains with names in this (amateur) niche and including content from your existing site, we can establish a far larger presence for your primary site. Any name will do provided it includes your main site's interest - it doesn't even have to make sense as long as the word 'amateur' is in the URL. People won't be bookmarking or even remembering these URLs - they are simply used to create new sites.

After registering these various new URL's, take your primary site and more or less copy it. You cannot just duplicate your main site - that's a real no-no and the search engines will penalize you for doing so. You've got to change each one a bit for each new URL. Change out some of the pics on the Home page and some of the other site content, colors, keywords, meta-tags, site description, etc. enough so that each site is unique and not an exact duplicate of your primary site.

Now you have your own amateur sites network. What's the advantage you ask? It boils down to the more doors leading to your site, the easier it is for people to find you - it's as simple as that. The trick is creating the 'doors' and organizing the network.

Multiple sites provide more domains for search engines to key in on. URLs are always important for being found by search engines. The more URLs you have, the more keywords you can use, and the more people who will be able to find you. You never know how people search and what they search for, so your 'network' helps cover all your bases. Anyone searching for 'amateur sites' will likely come across at least one of your sites.

These mirrors also serve another useful purpose, - they create a network of links. Many search engines, such as Google, love to see links pointing to your site. This ranks you higher, since the search engines consider you to be more important & popular if there are other sites pointing to yours. Just as important are 'relevant links.' This means that sites pointing to yours with similar content demonstrates to the search engines that you are 'in the groove'.

Most of your links now come from sites with similar content, which means that these links are as relevant as possible. Your site and your mirrors will have 99% similar content, which equals very high relevancy. What could be more relevant than mirroring your primary site?

By featuring sites with similar content, (which the spiders can follow and index), your site rating may wind up being higher. It's also beneficial because the spiders now only need to find only one of your sites, since they can follow the links to all your other sites. This also helps to rank you higher. Rather than submit all of the mirrors, just submit one and let the spider follow the links to all the others. Since the spider "found" them all by itself, and found them by following links from relevant sites, it will think that your primary site is even more important than it may actually be.

This is how Gay Adult Marketing produces your Web Site Network.

Doorways

Doorway pages are small, basic entry pages targeted to certain keyword sets for the various search engines. If we know for instance that SE1 likes to see keywords in the title but does not care about IMG ALT tags, then we make a page heavy on title keywords. On the other hand, if SE2 likes IMG ALT tags and comment tags, then we make up another page favoring those keyword sets. This way, we don't have to compromise or modify your primary site in an effort to appeal to all the engines. One page just doesn't work for all engines all of the time. It's far better to make 10 pages for 10 engines and rank high in each rather than try to make up one that works for all 10. By having multiple doorways, there's also a chance that more than one of your pages will return in the search engine's top listings, thereby increasing your odds of being seen.

Gateways

Gateway pages are essentially mini portals - pages with links to your mirror sites and doorway pages. Again, we're targeting these gateways to the search engines with specific keyword sets, same as with the doorway pages above. This gives people the impression that your gateway (portal) page is a directory to a group of similar sites even though they are exclusively all your sites & mirrors. This is why mirrors must be a bit different. If they are cut-and-paste duplicates, surfers will notice quickly, especially when they click on more than one link and get the exact same site each time. Again, there are now more good relevant links to your site, making it easier to get spidered and ranked higher.
