Thumbnail Gallery Posts

      Thumbnail Gallery Posts, or TGP's as they are commonly called, are pages with small 'thumbnail' photos that link to full size versions and feature a link/banner/endorsement to your site. The idea is that a visitor comes to your TGP page and is able to view "sample" photos of the type and quality your site features. If they like what they see they might click through to your site and sign up. Think of it as advertising with free samples. As an example, go to

and click on one of the pictures displayed. You'll not only see a larger version of the small 'thumbnail' you clicked on, but advertising and links to the main site.

      But the problem with standard TGP sites is that they usually offer so much free stuff that by the time a surfer gets through it they don't have much interest in accessing or signing up for the primary site's content. Hence the advent of TGP2.

      TGP2 thumbnail pages offer 15 - 20 good images all right, but no more than 5 of them display the larger picture. The rest are sexy, provocative images, but do not feature a larger image. The idea of TGP2 pages is to limit the number of full-size pictures given away, and convince the surfer that he can access a lot more great content if he becomes a member of the site being promoted on the TGP2 pages.
